Getting Started With Expanse
Installation was really easy. I opted for a 64bit VST 3 version of the plugin to reduce he overall install size. This took no time and once my DAW had scanned, the plugin was available for use. License activation is simply a case of copy and paste of the key and then I was working. You can always try it out first with a trial of course.
Where the Vox Guru Vocal processor works well for vocals, this plugin works great for the rest of the mix. Although you can use it on a vocal track too.

When a plugin has an ability to turn off a feature within it allows more intuition to happen and seemingly makes wanting to understand how the plugin works more enticing. Furthermore I then moved into advanced mode and tweaked further. Lots of unnecessary time wasting which I really enjoyed!

I was impressed with the presets included within Lifeline Expanse. I guess the variety of presets should be expected with how many possible combinations there are when using the plugin with features switched on and off, however it is still good to see a nice selection available. Having such options means there is something to build on to get up and running.
Alternatives Available
Lifeline Expanse overall is a multi FX plugin in one. So technically you can do a lot of the features within a typical DAW using stock plugins. However there are also other plugins on the market which do a similar job to this. The one that springs to mind is THR VoxGuru as this mainly is for vocal processing however does feature similar modular FX elements.
